The cable car connects French Boulevard with Otrada Beach and has been operating for over 40 years. It remains a popular and scenic way to reach the coast. The line stretches for 425 meters, with an elevation difference of 36.8 meters between the upper and lower stations.
Cabins travel at a speed of 1.4 m/s, and the full ride takes about 10 minutes. There are currently 46 cabins in operation (previously 62), with an interval of 14.8 meters between them.
